Bridget Sullivan is an artist known for designing and creating one-of-a-kind garments out of eco-friendly and re-purposed vintage material. After graduating from the College for Creative Studies, she moved to New York City where she interned at Diane von Furstenberg before returning to Detroit. Her company, Bridget Sullivan Designs, LLC, offers beautiful dresses and accessories for dancing, singing, performing and any joyful life events. To us, modern design is three things; an understanding of the past, a curiosity for the latest technology, and a conscious effort to conserve and respect our environment.
Our signature material to work with is organic kozo, a natural fiber used to create sculptural elements for our pieces. We blend this raw material with re-tailored, draped, and corsetted vintage fabric to create romantic silhouettes. Recent corporate collaborations have incorporated 3D printing as well. Bridget’s designs have been worn all over the world by performers including Grammy Award winning musician Esperanza Spalding, and can soon be seen nationally on a Quicken Loans commercial.
